Tammie and Dawn,
Thank you for your thoughtful comments. Being in debt is very stressful, and people who are addicted to QVC can't stop, even when there are negative consequences for their actions.

When I added up my credit card bills and found I was almost $30,000 in debt - 90% which was to QVC - I stopped cold turkey. I've now been debt-free for 11 years and sleep soundly at night. Believe me, the feeling of being debt-free is a million times better than anything I ever bought on QVC made me feel!
-- Contributed by: DawnLinda, you're either going to have to stop watching QVC and stop ordering cold turkey on your own or as JC suggested, see a therapist. Having to declare bankruptcy 11 years ago because of my QVC shopping addiction was my wakeup call. QVC's pitchmen & women are very good at coming across as friends and caring about customers as people, but I now understand they're no different than any car salesman. They don't care about the customers, only making them and their employer money. Good luck.

If you want to get help, ask your doctor for a referral to a therapist who has experience treating shopping addictions.
