Gale,

You can check out the LTK article on unusual scholarships for help. The CollegeScholarships.org web site also has information about available grants. The financial aid office of the colleges or universities you are considering will be able to tell you about available funding.

We are interested in college grants specifically for recovered addicts, who have successfully completed the four criteria that you mentioned in this article. Our church has a successful program in place, but we are attempting to help these young men reenter society with a skill, or vocation. Sifting through information on grants is timely and mostly non-specific. Most of these young men have had felonies in their past, so there are a lot of issues. we have started a college fund for this program but will need additional help. As you know the number of lives affected by this problem is rapidly increasing. Do you have knowledge of grants that would help narrow our search. We are located in Urbana Illinois. Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks,Gale

Hi Shannon,

Your family doctor or local hospital might also be able to help you find a treatment program.

In order to help you find a group near your home, I need to know what state or province you live in.
